This is a semi-rural practice of 7,200 patients and four partners. The purpose-built surgery opened in 1989, and has full computerisation with desktop terminals. We now use the EMIS system and are close to being a "paperless practice". There is a full complement of attached staff and facilities for comprehensive care. The GP registrar has his/her own room and is encouraged to become a full member of the team in every way. Partners have various interests to add variety.
