We are a busy practice with about 12000 patients, 6 partners (3 full time and 3 part time), one additional part time employed doctor and another who works quite regularly on a sessional basis. The practice is split over 2 sites and we have an experienced nurse based at each site. One site is based in central Slough and is arguably the first surgery to be established in Slough. The second site is in Cippenham, approximately 4 miles away. Each site has a different demographic distribution but in combination they provide exposure to a population of wide variation and prospective trainees will undoubtedly see patients of widely differing age groups, social economic and ethnic backgrounds as well as acute and chronic diseases.
We believe that trainees who are committed and willing to work hard can benefit enormously from the opportunities provided by this practice. Although we are a fairly new training practice, feedback from trainees previously attached to us has been overwhelmingly positive.
